Help your neighbors keep more of what they earn

Every tax season, hundreds of low-to-moderate income households in the Hudson Valley get their taxes done for free, accurately and with dignity, because volunteers like you give a few hours a week. The Hudson Valley C.A.$.H. (Creating Assets, Savings and Hope) Coalition partners with AARP Foundation Tax-Aide to bring this service to our community, and we can't do it without you.

You don't need to be an accountant, you don't need to be retired, and you don't need to be an AARP member. You just need to be willing to learn and to show up for people.

Why it Matters

For many families, a tax refund is the largest single payment they receive all year. It might cover rent, catch up on bills, or start an emergency savings fund. Paid preparers can take a significant share of that refund in fees. When you volunteer, that money stays with the family.
